What is
FormaMentis Art.
FormaMentis Art is an Italian neuro-art experience: a wearable EEG reader listens to a person’s brain activity for a few minutes, and that reading gives birth to a unique artwork, which they take home with a QR code.
Common questions
What are the editions?
FormaMentis Art is the main name and the edition for museums and cultural spaces. FormaMentis Tattoo is for tattoo studios: the reading gives birth to an original design for the tattoo artist to interpret. FormaMentis Wellness is for spas and wellness centres.
How does it work?
The person wears the reader and follows a short guided experience. The software translates the signal into parameters such as focus, calm and energy, and those parameters guide the birth of the artwork, different for every mind.
Does it read thoughts? Is it a medical test?
No. The reader measures the brain’s electrical activity, not thoughts. FormaMentis Art is an artistic experience: it is not a medical device and it does not diagnose anything.
Where can I try it?
At the venues that host it. On this site you can try a browser demo right away, with no reader.
How can I bring it to my venue?
Through the form on this site, by phone or on WhatsApp: museums, tattoo studios and wellness centres receive the EEG reader, the software and our support.
